New York’s Spring Fashion Week traveled uptown to Harlem recently for the 3rd Annual Shop Indie 4 A Cause Fashion and Trunk Show, which benefited the non-profit People’s Resource and Development Association’s (P.R.A.D.A.) youth entrepreneur programs.

Hosted by VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop New York star Yandy Smith and WBLS New York radio personality Madison Jaye, the event was attended by more than 200 guests and featured such independent designers as Jag & Co Jaguar, Alreddi Jeans, Beware, Define Me Designs, Eccentric Kisses, Malanski, RBR Styles LLC, SeSa Designs, and Warrior Gear.

The fashion show also featured performances by Universal Dance Destiny Ministry and Lyfestyle Music Group artists Celebrity & Charlie Thrushshop. Before the fashion show, attendees were able to shop with a variety of vendors, including from Accentuating Bows, Danyell Bradley, Diamond Services, Everything Girls Love and Fancy by Lady Ashley.

In addition to the designers and models, several TV personalities were on hand to lend their support, including Ramona Rizzo and Karen Gravano from VH1’s Mob Wives. Karen Gravano autographed copies of her NY Times bestseller Mob Daughter and Rizzo showcased her skincare line, Roxanne Rizzo.

Maybach Music Group Latino artist AG Cubano, was also in attendance at the event.

P.R.A.D.A founders Janine Smalls -Gueye, Lanise Herman -Thomas and Simonne Banks -Pedroso thanked supporters and Yandy Smith encouraged and reminded guests that in spite of having a great time at the event “We are all here for a very important cause ‘the children’ and these ladies are doing an awesome job, they need our support.”
