(PHOTOS) Cast of ‘Black Ink Crew Compton’ Celebrate Series Premiere at Watch Party in LA

The cast of Vh1’s “Black Ink Crew Compton” recently celebrated the premiere of the reality show at a watch party in Hollywood.

Set in Compton, California, the show follows Danny “KP” Kirkpatrick as he opens and operates IAM Compton, the first tattoo shop in the city.

“Black Ink Compton” is the latest spin-off for the “Black Ink Crew” franchise, following predecessors “Black Ink Crew Harlem” and “Black Ink Crew: Chicago”.

The show, produced by Big Fish Entertainment, chronicles Kirkpartrick and his team of tattoo artists as they forge ahead with the shop in the face of surrounding gang activity and other competing forces in their lives. The crew hopes to showcase the artists and musicians that call Compton home.

In addition to Kirkpatrick, other “Black Ink Compton” cast members at the watch party included Lemier, Vudu Dahl, Nessie, Ink Drippen, Tim and Barbie.

Held at The Parlor Room in Hollywood, the event was also attended by A1 Bentley, Kevin McCall and actress Kyla Pratt, who is the girlfriend of Kirkpatrick and makes appearances on the show.

“Black Ink Crew Compton” airs on Wednesdays at 10 ET/9c on VH1.
