(PHOTOS/VIDEO) Steve Harvey, Maxine Waters and More Honored at 2018 Merge Gala Awards

Entertainer Steve Harvey and U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters recently were among the honorees at the Merge Gala Awards, which kicked off the 10th annual Merge Summit in Los Angeles.

The Merge Gala, which recognizes those making an impact in bridging the worlds of faith and entertainment, also honored Laila Ali, DeVon Franklin, Chad Johnson and Michelle Williams. The event also featured a performance from Faith Evans.

Held in Universal City, CA, the Merge Gala brings together leaders in the arts and entertainment industry to teach, prepare and inspire the next generation of leaders in music, film, television, business and ministry.

The summit is designed to inspire synergy between faith-based and entertainment industry leaders, and to educate, uplift and encourage attendees to aspire toward their professional and personal goals.
