Human Nature recently caught up with Dawn-Lyen Gardner of OWN’s “Queen Sugar” and Mike Jackson of Get Lifted Film Co. The two were at the 2018 Art of Elysium Gala in Santa Monica Calif. recently to support singer John Legend who was being honored with the “Visionary” Award.”

In the interview, Gardner discusses season two of “Queen Sugar” and its 90-minute, Ava Duvernay-directed finale.

Mike Jackson, who started Get Lifted Film Co. with John Legend and Ty Stiklorius, in the interview, discussed John Legend playing Jesus in NBC’s forthcoming live musical remake of the rock opera “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!”
