Last night in LA, comedy’s biggest stars turned up at the Beverly Hilton for the star-studded taping of “Def Comedy Jam 25,” an anniversary special that will air on Netflix September 26.
On hand to support Def Comedy Jam founder Russell Simmons and the show included Diddy, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle, Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Katt Williams, DeRay Davis, Angela Simmons, Lance Gross, JB Smooth, Joe, Karrueche Tran, Devon Franklin, Tiffany Haddish, Craig Robinson, Bruce Bruce, Bill Bellamy, Honest John and Donnell Rawlings.
“Def Comedy Jam” originally aired on HBO from 1992-1997 and was responsible for launching into the mainstream the careers of many African-American comedians, including Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac, Chris Tucker, Martin Lawrence, Cedric the Entertainer, Mo’Nique and Adele Givens.
