The Best Remaining Music Showcases at SXSW 2018

The music portion of the South by Southwest festival in Austin, TX hits the home stretch today with a series of showcases that should be of interest to hip-hip and music fans from all walks of life.

Among the artists still left to perform at SXSW this year are Khalid, Action Bronson, Wyclef Jean, Jeezy, King Combs and The Roots, who will play the Bud Light’s annual The Roots SXSW Jam.

Thursday, March 15

Fader Fort

The Fader magazine’s annual music showcase. SOB X RBE, BbyMutha, Mozzy, YBN Nahmir, Now Now and Soccer Mommy will be among the acts to perform, with additional artists yet to be revealed.

Dates: March 14- 16

 Beer and Tacos x Street Execs Showcase feat. Young Dolph, YFN Lucci and Travis Porter

Sony Lost in Music feat. Khalid

Sony’s #LostInMusic is returning to SXSW, bringing with it a stunning line up of Sony Music artists as well as the latest Sony technology. Be transported to a “Dreamscape” world through Sony’s spatial audio technology, and experience a unique PlayStation®VR music video from multi-platinum breakout singer Khalid and rising pop singer Tinashe.

August Greene at NPR Showscase

Actor Jacob Latimore hosts the music showcase, featuring a collection of live bands and a performance by DMC of legendary hip-hop group RUN-DMC.

Digiwaxx Presents Talib Kweli and More at Highland Lounge

Talib Kweli headlines this showcase, which also features South African hip-hop artist Kwesta and his compatriot AKA. Also on the bill are Nigerian rapper Adekunle Gold and NYC-based artists Kofi Black and Steelyone.

Beats x Beers Festival 4

It will be the 4th time in a row that Beats x Beers Festival has come to Austin during SXSW. Collectively Beats x Beers Festival has totaled in over 40,000 RSVP’s and is expected to have the biggest year yet this time around. Last year the show was headlined by Trae Tha Truth & Hustle Gang along with Bia, Clay James, Page Kennedy and plenty more. Past shows have also included Kurupt, Dee-1, Scotty ATL, Big Sant, D.Woods, and plenty more!
