(PHOTOS) Kim Fields and Jermelle Simon Get Candid About “The Upshaws” at Black Storytellers Press Preview Dinner

Since its inception, Netflix has been committed to showcasing Black content and actors. And the pipeline for Black stories and content at Netflix appears to be bright.

Human Nature recently attended Netflix’s Black Storytellers press preview dinner and received a sneak peak at some of the content slated to be released on the streaming platform in the coming months and years. 

Presented by Strong Black Lead and Culture Creators, guests at the preview dinner were also treated to a live conversation with two cast members of Netflix’s hit comedy, “The Upshaws” – Kim Fields and Jermelle Simon. 

Moderated by entertainment journalist Kelly Carter, the cast members discussed the much-talked-about coming out scene on season one of “The Upshaws” in addition to other highlights from the season, as well as what’s to come on season two, which was released June 29.
