Exciting BIG3 Playoffs Set the Stage for Memorable Championship Game in LA
Following an exciting playoff round in New Orleans, the stage is now set for Sunday at the Staples Center in LA for the BIG3 Championship Game.
In front of more than 11,000 fans at Smoothie King Center, the Triplets and Killer 3’s advanced to the Championship Game after beating the 3 Headed Monsters and Power, respectively.
The Killer 3’s, who are coached by former New York Knicks great Charles Oakley, were helped on the court by the play of C.J. Watson and Stephen Jackson. Triplets, which are an expansion team, won on a game-winning three-pointer from Joe Johnson.
The crowd was also treated to a performance from New Orleans rapper Juvenile, who performed several of his hit songs.
Also in attendance at the playoff game were Curren$y, Trajan Langdon, David Griffin, Alvin Gentry, Jaxson Hayes and Kenrich Williams.
BIG3 is the premier 3-on-3 basketball league, featuring many NBA greats. Founded by producer, actor and music legend Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, the BIG3 combines highly competitive, physical, fast basketball and incredible fan experiences.
