(EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS) Usher, Busta Rhymes, Kandi Burruss, Cedric the Entertainer and Many Stars Celebrate ‘The Chronic’ 30th Anniversary
All the stars recently turned out to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dr. Dre’s classic debut album, “The Chronic,” at a roller skating pre-Grammy party in Hollywood.
Held at the Hollywood Palladium and hosted by Usher, the event recreated the historic Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace and featured a 4,700-square foot skating rink.
Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace operated in West Hollywood from 1979 to 1981 and now serves as a seasonal outdoor roller skating rink in New York’s Rockefeller Center.
The new Flippers was co-founded by Liberty Ross, wife of legendary Interscope records Founder Jimmy Iovine. Ross is also the daughter of the founder of the original Flippers, Ian “Flipper” Ross.
Usher, who is also a partner and brand ambassador in the new Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, made for the perfect host due to his well-known love of skating and connection to the brand.
“The Chronic” was recently made available once again via streaming services.
Dr. Dre, Iovine, Paul McCartney, Busta Rhymes, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Brown, Lil Kim, Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly and Swizz Beatz were among the A-list celebs in attendance.
