Legend Status: Teddy Riley Enshrined on Hollywood Walk of Fame
R&B and hip-hop, songwriter, producer and singer Teddy Riley was recently enshrined among the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
With a star placed on the intersection of Cahuenga and Hollywood Blvd., Riley becomes the 2,670th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
With more than 1,000 song credits, Riley is known for pioneering the “New Jack Swing” sound of the late 1980s and 90s. Riley worked with such superstars as Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Keith Sweat, Doug E. Fresh.
Through his groups – Guy and Blackstreet – Riley has brought the sound behind many hit songs, including “Let’s Chill” and “No Diggity.”
Riley was recently inducted into the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame and has received the Soul Train Legend Award. He is also scheduled to have a residency in Las Vegas called Teddy Riley & Friends.
Riley was joined at the Walk of Fame ceremony by his family and friends, as well as many in the music industry, including Jermaine Dupri, Andre Harrell, Major, J. Valentine and Tank.
