Lil Mosey Offers Fans a Glimpse Into the Life of a ‘Thug Popstar’

Multi-platinum artist and entrepreneur Lil Mosey today released a new hip-hop anthem “Thug Popstar” – which offers fans a window into the life of the 22 year-old music superstar. On the bass-filled track, Lil Mosey rhymes about both sides of a music superstar’s life – from the luxury vehicles and expensive jewelry to the pitfalls of drug abuse and fake friends.

This Monday (4/8), Lil Mosey will drop the music video for “Thug Popstar”. The video reflects the popstar lifestyle Lil Mosey speaks of on the single. It also features elements of his style and “drip”, including diamond jewelry by Peter Marco that is valued at more than $300k. 

The new single also highlights Lil Mosey’s strong bond with his fans, who voted on social media to have “Thug Popstar” as the next single from his forthcoming EP. 

In a matter of weeks, Lil Mosey has made a fierce comeback by releasing a steady stream of critically acclaimed singles, including “Back Down Road” – which Hype Magazine said “brings us back to the roots of hip-hop with those catchy beats and killer wordplay that we all know and love from Lil Mosey. He’s really reminding us why he’s one of the ones to watch in the game right now.” 

The first single released from the EP,  “Life Goes On”, was heralded by Uproxx as one of the “Best of the Week” – “with its somber, reflective lyrics and grunge-rock leanings, is a nod toward the growing up he’s had to do in such a short time.”
