(PHOTOS) Angela Bassett, Regina King, Diddy, Spike Lee, Meagan Good, Chole x Halle Among the Stars at the 2019 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon

Black excellence across many genres was on display at Essence’s annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards luncheon, which celebrates the accomplishments of black women in television in film.

Held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and hosted by singer/actress Kelly Rowland, the luncheon this year honored actress and comedian Regina Hall, actress/singer Jenifer Lewis, actress Amandla Stenberg and actress KiKi Layne, who received the “Ford Spotlight Award.”

Among the presenters at the ceremony, included new Oscar winner Regina King, Sanaa Lathan, Elaine Welteroth, Loretta Devine and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Amber Riley also performed two beautiful covers of Stephanie Mills’ “Home” and Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman.”

The pre-Oscar event was attended by many actors, musicians, executives, beauty influencers and more. Among the celebrities at the luncheon included Angela Bassett, Regina King, Ava DuVernay, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Chole x Halle, Eva Marcille, Kandi Burress Kofi Siriboe, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Lakeith Stanfield, Maxine Waters, Meagan Good, Marsai Martin, Spike Lee, Trevor Jackson and more.
