Summer vibes were in the air this week in LA at the star-studded Coin Cloud Cocktail Party, hosted by Common.

Held in honor of Amondo Redmond, who recently joined digital currency machine operator Coin Cloud as its Global Chief Marketing Officer, the event was attended by a who’s who in Hollywood and the NBA.

Among the guests at the private affair included Rita Ora, Ashley Benson, Steve Aoki Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, Karl Anthony Towns, Jordyn Woods, Ryan Destiny, Chanel Iman, Josh Hart and more.

Coin Cloud ‘offers the fastest, easiest way to buy and sell Bitcoin and 30+ other digital currencies with cash, card and more,’ according to the company’s website.

Redmond is a respected marketing veteran with extensive global brand experience, including as the CMO at First Entertainment Credit Union, where he brokered partnerships with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis, among other roles. He also served in senior roles at Gap, Inc., Revlon, and PepsiCo, where he crafted innovative traditional, digital and social campaigns.

In one of his first Coin Cloud deals, Redmond is once again collaborating with NBA All-Star Klay Thompson, who he helped launch The Thompson Family Foundation in 2018 to support charitable initiatives in Oakland, Los Angeles, Portland and the Bahamas—the homeland of Klay’s father, NBA great Mychal Thompson.

Held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, guests sipped cocktails and mingled in one of the first events held since California lifted its COVID restrictions on June 15.
