(PHOTOS) Kendrick Sampson Launches BLD PWR Productions to Bring Advocacy Based Content to the Masses

The intersection of where art meets activism was on full display recently at the preview launch event of BLD PWR productions, a new production company that will produce advocacy based content on a number of platforms.

The brainchild of actor and activist Kendrick Sampson – co-founder of the broader BLD PWR organization which helped mobilize thousands of protestors during the #BlackLivesMatter movement of the Summer 2020. Sampson and his organization also led an effort to get entertainment industry executives to sign a letter calling for Hollywood to divest from the police.

“Our mission is to reimagine and realize the future we know our people deserve, “ Sampson, 34, said at the launch event.

Held at the Forest for the Trees  is an immersive art show in downtown LA, the event highlighted through art the injustices with climate change and other topics of importance to the organization.

BLD PWR Productions will produce content in all genres and for all platforms, and will be a home for storytellers who share a passion to bear truth, expand imagination and improve the lives of our communities.
