(PHOTOS) Ne-Yo, Chris Tucker, Yolanda Adams, Kofi Siriboe, David Oyelowo and More Shine at Ebony Power 100 Gala
The achievements and overall excellence of African Americans were on full display recently at Ebony’s annual Power 100 Gala in LA, which brought together some of the biggest names in entertainment, politics, business and sports.
Among the honorees at this year’s Ebony Power 100 Gala, included Drake, Cardi B, Travis Scott and Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas and COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee. Former BET Chairman and CEO Debra Lee was also honored with the inaugural Chairman’s Award and Motown Records received the Icon Award to commemorate the label’s diverse and historic artistry.
Hosted by Chris Tucker, the event featured performances from Motown Records trio James Davis and Ne-Yo, who performed a melody of his hits, including “So Sick,” “All Because of You” and “Give Me Everything.”
Many celebrities were on hand for the gala, including David Oyelowo, Kat Graham, Susan Kelechi Watson, Melanie Liburd, Bianca Lawson, Kofi Siriboe, Indya Moore, J.B. Smoove, Sugar Ray Leonard, Ernie Hudson, Mayor Andrew Gillum, Mayor London Breed, Saweetie, Israel Houghton and Adrienne Houghton, Mehgan James, Don Benjamin, Amin Joseph, Eva Marcille, Deborah Ayorinde, Courtney Kemp, Cynthia Bailey and Symone Sanders and many among others.
The Ebony Power 100 Gala recognizes the most influential and inspiring individuals from a broad spectrum of industry genres, across eight categories: Community Crusaders, Disruptors, Entertainment & Arts, Entrepreneurs, Innovators, MVPs, Power Players and the Women Up category.
