Photos/Video: “All Eyez on Me” Cast, Director, Producers Out in Full Force for ABFF Miami Premiere
Human Nature was on the scene for the Miami premiere of the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez On Me,” which brought the movie’s cast, director and producers together with celebrities and film enthusiasts at the 2017 American Black Film Festival, where the movie was the closing night film.
Opening in theaters on June 16, “All Eyez on Me” has gone on to gross more than $38 million at the box office, with both critical acclaim and criticism from some of those who knew Tupac, who have said the film has exaggerated certain situations about Tupac’s life and left out other parts necessary to telling his story.
Among the cast members in attendance at the ABFF premiere include Demetrius Shipp Jr, who plays Tupac; Annie Ilonzeh, who plays Kidada Jones; Dominic Santana as Suge Knight, and Jarrett Ellis, who plays Snoop Dogg in the film.
In addition to the cast, director Benny Boom and producer L.T. Hutton were on hand to discuss their vision for the film and Tupac’s legacy. A number of celebrities and media personalities also attended the premiere, including Empire’s Tobias Truvillion, actor Dennis L.A. White, Irv Gotti, Claudia Jordan and the cast of Fox’s “Star.”
