(PHOTOS) Rappers Play Hoops with Former NBA, Pro-Am Players at Inaugural iHeartMedia Real 92.3 Celebrity Basketball Game
Fans recently received the opportunity to see their favorite celebrities, and pro and amateur basketball players, compete at iHeartMedia Los Angeles’ first Real 92.3 Celebrity Basketball Game.
The game — which benefited the Follow the Dream Foundation, a non-profit established by DJ Damage, on-air personality and DJ for Real 92.3 — was held in partnership with the annual Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament. The game raised $5,000 for the charity.
Actor/media personality Nick Cannon and Real 92.3 in Los Angeles on-air personality Big Boy coached the teams playing in the celebrity game, which featured rapper Tyga, rapper The Game, singer/songwriter Omarion, rapper Sage the Gemini, rapper P-Lo, singer RJ, model Don Benjamin, singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger, actor Demetrius Shipp Jr., Joe Moses, actor Lonnie Chavis, former NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis, former NBA player Shawne Williams, rapper Jay 305, TV personality Laura Govan, slam dunker Air Dogg, former NBA player Brandon Armstrong, veteran streetballer Sik Wit It, rapper Hitman, artist/manager Lemmie and AND1 player Remix.
Held at L.A. LIVE’s Microsoft Square in downtown Los Angeles, the game featured the match up of Big Boy’s “The Neighborhood” team and Nick Cannon’s “The Ncredibles.” DJ Carisma played all hits throughout the game, while MCs Chuck Dizzle and Bootleg Kev handled kept the crowd engaged.
