Human Nature recently caught up with Dawn-Lyen Gardner, who plays Charley Bordelon West on OWN’s hit drama “Queen Sugar,” which makes its midseason debut tonight.

In the interview, conducted at the 2017 UrbanWorld Film Festival in New York, Human Nature contributor Tony Anderson discusses with Gardner why people should tune into “Queen Sugar” in addition to what she thinks about the national anthem protests by professional athletes.
