Chuck D, Bozoma Saint John, Stephen Hill Honored at Russell Simmons’ Art For Life Benefit in the Hamptons

Russell Simmons’ love of the arts was once again on display at his annual Art For Life benefit gala, held in the Hamptons at Fairview Farms in Water Mill, NY.

Art For Life, which for more than 20 years has been held in support of youth art programs through Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic organization. This year, the Art For Life gala honored hip-hop legend Chuck D of Public Enemy; Esi Eggleston Bracey, Former President of the Consumer Beauty Division for Coty Inc.; Bozoma Saint John, Chief Brand Officer for Uber; TV Executive Stephen Hill, and this year’s featured artist, Sanford Biggers, for their support of the arts, achievements and overall commitment to the community.

This year’s event was themed “Midnight at the Oasis” and was hosted by Russell Simmons and his brother Danny Simmons. The evening also featured a performance by Tony and Grammy-winner Cynthia Erivo, and from Chuck D.

Celebrities in attendance included NFL player Darrelle Revis, Kevin Liles, Elle Varner, Giselle Bryant of Real Housewives of Potomac, Miss Lawrence of Fox’s “Star,” Soledad O’Brien and singer Julie Greewald.

Proceeds from the Art For Life benefit Rush Philanthropic’s signature arts education and gallery programs, which have directly served tens of thousands of inner-city youth over the past 21 years.
