A touch of New York Fashion Week was recently displayed in LA at the runway presentation for Latoia Fitzgerald’s Lionne Clothing.

Held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, a host of celebrities and athletes attended the show to get a look at Lionne’s SS21 collection, including James Harden, Jhené Aiko, Draya Michele, Karrueche Tran, La La Anthony, Sevyn Streeter, Aaron Gordon and Rajan Rondo.

A native of Philadelphia, Fitzgerald is the creative mind behind Dillonger Clothing and Lionne Clothing. She launched kids-wear brand Dillonger first, named after her son, and Lionne Clothing followed in 2018.

Typically, a presentation debut for a label with as much buzz as Lionne would occur during New York’s Fashion Week, which occurs this year from Sept. 8-12.

However, Fitzgerald, in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, opted for a runway debut in Los Angeles—where her team is located and where she feels comfortable.

The show was opened by model Slick Woods, who set the tone when she walked through the garden in a denim set. Other models sported looks that included oversized buttoned shirt dresses, two-piece sets and elegant gowns.
