Rutina Wesley has been a fan favorite playing Nova Bordelon on OWN’s hit drama “Queen Sugar,” which continues its second season tonight.

Human Nature contributor Tony Anderson recently caught up with Wesley at the 2017 Urbanworld Film Festival in New York, where she discussed why she became an actor, in addition to season 2 of “Queen Sugar.” Wesley also tells us what she thinks about the national anthem protests by professional athletes.
